Monitorowanie IPMI
IPMI to zestaw specyfikacji interfejsu komputera dla autonomicznego podsystemu komputerowego, który zapewnia funkcje zarządzania i monitorowania, niezależnie od procesora, oprogramowania firmware (systemu BIOS lub UEFI) systemu hosta i systemu operacyjnego.
IPMI obsługuje dwa typy uwierzytelnień: uwierzytelnianie jednym i dwoma kluczami.
Prosty czujnik IPMI
IPMI v2.0/RMCP+
Czujnik umozliwia monitorowanie różnych parametrów sprzętowych, takich jak temperatura systemu, prędkość wentylatora, napięcia zasilania itp. Dostępność tych parametrów zależy od monitorowanego sprzętu i konfiguracji IPMI monitorowanego urządzenia.
Wspólne parametry:
- napięcie
- obroty wentylatora
- temperatura
Dostępne parametry dla konkretnego urządzenia będą wyświetlane po wybraniu liczników podczas ustawiania progu. Niektóre opisy liczników mogą zawierać wartości progów.

Liczniki:
- Wartość [w jednostkach] or % Wartości
Domyślny raport
zawiera następujące metryki:
- Basic IPMI.Fan\Value [RPM]
- Basic IPMI.Fan\% Value
- Basic IPMI.Temperature\Value [degrees C]
- Basic IPMI.Voltage\Value [Volts]
Alerty:
- Błąd upływu limitu czasu połączenia (Request Timeout Error)
- Błąd uwierzytelnienia
Generic IPMI Sensor
IPMI v2.0/RMCP+
This IPMI sensor can monitor all possible parameters received from the monitored device. A filter allows specifying the exact parameters to be monitored. Parameters can be filtered based on their type, entity (i.e. location) and name.
Common numeric parameters:
- voltage
- current
- fan rpm
- temperature
- altitude
The sensor also reads non-numeric parameters containing status messages.

IPMI Log Sensor
The IPMI Log sensor can retrieve logs from the System Event Log (SEL) which is a non-volatile repository for system events and certain system configuration information. Alerts can be set on new log entries that match user-defined expressions. Logs can be filtered based on their IPMI sensor type, event message, and event transition direction(event_dir).
Example:
A log entry with the following fields:
- IPMI sensor type: "processor",
- message: "processor presence",
- transition direction: "Assertion Event"
indicates that the event was generated because a processor has become present (inserted). The same log entry but with the transition direction field set to "Deassertion Event" would indicate that the event was generated because the processor had become not present (removed).
