NetCrunch pricing

Every node counted once.
Every feature included.

NetCrunch licenses what you actually monitor — not sensors, not modules, not metrics. One license per node, one interface included with each, and unlimited metrics on top. Resize at any renewal.

  • Agentless by design — nothing to install on monitored devices
  • 680+ monitoring targets built in
  • Up to 10,000 nodes from a single server
How pricing works

No sensor math. No module bloat. Just what you monitor.

Three rules replace the license tiers of every other network tool you have used.

1

You license nodes, not sensors

A node is anything you monitor — a switch, server, VM, cloud service, even a printer. One license per device, no matter how many metrics you collect from it. Monitoring a device more deeply never costs extra.

2

Each node includes one interface

Bandwidth detail on network ports is the only thing you scale separately. Add extra interfaces only where you need per-port traffic data.

3

Grow or shrink at renewal

Resize the license at any renewal — no reinstallation, and no paying next year for a size you no longer need. Subscription or perpetual.

Editions

Pick your starting point.

Both editions are agentless, include live dashboards and automatic topology, and run on a single modest server. The difference is how much scale and depth you get out of the box.

Subscription Most popular

Annual, and the lowest entry cost. It covers a year of support, updates and cloud services, and every new version released while it runs.

Perpetual

Buy once and own it, with three years of support, updates and cloud services. Renew the upgrade subscription only when you want new versions.

Ultimate At the top end

For the largest single-server deployments — up to 10,000 nodes and 50,000 interfaces, with the advanced modules and generous add-on allowances included. Annual subscription, quoted per customer.

License sizer

Size it in twenty seconds.

Drag to your network. It shows the license you would need and which edition fits, then carries the numbers into the quote form below.

Monitored nodes — devices, VMs and cloud services
Extra interfaces — beyond the one included per node

Every node already includes one interface. Add extras only for the ports where you want per-port bandwidth, errors and traffic detail.

Professional

You would need 250 node licenses and 50 extra interface licenses.

That covers 250 devices, one interface each, plus 50 extra ports for per-port bandwidth monitoring.

Get my exact price

This sizes a license against the real node and interface model — no sensors, no hidden counts. Several sites need more than the sliders show: a remote probe per site, and a Flow Server per site where you collect flows. Tell us how your network is spread out and we will size those with it. The final quote reflects volume and edition, and comes back within one business day.

Against your current stack

Per-sensor pricing teaches you to monitor less.

A check somebody skips to keep the bill down is a blind spot, and nobody finds out what it cost until the outage. Observability starts from the opposite premise — you cannot know in advance what will matter, so you collect first and ask questions later. That only works if the extra data is free: once a device is licensed, watching it more closely costs nothing more.

vs PRTG

Sensors multiply, nodes do not

Every check you add to a device is another sensor on the bill. Your network grows slowly; the number of things worth watching on it grows fast. NetCrunch licenses the device instead, with unlimited metrics on it.

vs SolarWinds

Enterprise arrives as one package

Flows, config backup and cloud are separate products to license there. In Professional you add only the ones you want; Enterprise includes them, and Ultimate includes the most generous allowances of all.

vs WhatsUp Gold

Scale without dedicated hardware

Enterprise covers 10,000 nodes and 100,000+ interfaces from one server — a VM is fine, no appliance to rack — and clusters when you need it highly available.

vs SaaS monitoring

Your data stays on your side

Hosted tools meter you per host, monthly, and hold your telemetry. NetCrunch runs where you put it: on-premises, or a VM in your own Azure, AWS or GCP tenancy.

Pricing FAQ

Straight answers to the questions we hear most.

What exactly is a node?

A node is any monitored endpoint - a device, virtual machine, cloud service, or even a printer. You license one node for each one, and it does not matter how many metrics that node reports.

What is an interface, and when do I need extras?

An interface is a network port on a monitored SNMP device, used for bandwidth, traffic, errors, discards and link status. Every node already includes one. You only add extra interfaces where you need per-port detail.

Subscription or perpetual - which should I pick?

Subscription is the lower entry cost and keeps support, updates and cloud services included for a year at a time. A perpetual license is yours outright and comes with three years of the same; after that you renew the upgrade subscription only when you want new versions or cloud features.

Can I grow or shrink later without reinstalling?

Yes. Resize at any renewal and apply the new license key. There is no reinstallation, no data migration and nothing to rebuild, including when you move between editions.

Do add-ons cost extra?

In Professional, the Flow Server, device config backup, cloud sensors and remote probes are optional add-ons. In Enterprise they are part of the platform price. IP camera monitoring is included in both.

How many Flow Servers do I get?

One Flow Server license is included with Enterprise, covering NetFlow and sFlow collection. Since version 16 a Flow Server can also be installed at a remote site, so flow monitoring is fully distributed: run one per network site and read all of it from a single point. Tell us how your flow sources are spread out and we will size that with the rest of the license.

Is there a discount for larger networks?

Pricing scales with your node and interface count, and larger deployments are quoted as Enterprise. Send us your counts and we will come back with a volume quote.

Why is there no flat price list?

Because two networks of the same size rarely need the same coverage. We price what you actually monitor - nodes and interfaces - rather than a one-size tier, so the page shows worked examples and we size the rest to your network.

Is setup included?

We offer optional free initial setup assistance, so your team can see the platform working on your own network without a long configuration exercise first.
